Occupational Therapy

Building Confidence, Capacity, and Everyday Independence

At Holistic Care Therapy, we believe everyone deserves to thrive in their own space, at their own pace. Our Occupational Therapy services are designed to empower people of all abilities to build skills, navigate barriers, and participate fully in everyday life — whether that’s brushing your teeth, getting to work, or engaging in your community. We support children, teens, adults, and older Australians living with disability, neurodivergence, chronic illness, or injury. Whether you're seeking NDIS support or private care, we tailor our approach to meet your unique goals.

What We Support

Our Occupational Therapists (OTs) work alongside you to:

  • Build independence in daily activities like cooking, dressing, hygiene, and communication
  • Improve fine and gross motor skills, coordination, and strength
  • Develop emotional regulation and sensory processing strategies
  • Recommend assistive technology or adaptive equipment to support everyday function
  • Complete functional capacity assessments and NDIS reports
  • Provide guidance on home modifications and accessibility
  • Support with transition planning, routines, or returning to school/work
  • Collaborate with your support team to create meaningful and sustainable outcomes

We don’t just look at tasks — we look at the whole person, the environment, and how you want to live.

Our Approach

We start by getting to know you — what’s working, what’s tricky, and what your goals are. Our assessments explore cognitive, emotional, physical, and sensory needs to shape a clear picture of how best to support your independence and wellbeing.

Your therapy plan is personalised and purposeful. Whether it's tying shoelaces, managing morning routines, or gaining confidence in the community — we work toward goals that actually matter to you.

We can recommend assistive equipment, sensory tools, or changes to your home or workplace that make life easier and more accessible. From grab rails to visual schedules, we keep it practical and person-first.

We meet you where you’re most comfortable — offering support in homes, schools, supported living settings, or via telehealth. Therapy should work with your lifestyle, not against it.

We work closely with families, support coordinators, educators, and other allied health professionals to ensure a cohesive and wraparound experience.
